Tostrengthentheeffectivecontactareaoftwomaterialswiththeoppositetriboelectric
polarities wasprovedtobeaneffectivesolutiontoenhancetheelectronicoutputof
triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG).Presently,thatmainlyfocusedonthesurfacemodification
of negativematerialsbymicro/nanostructure,however,rarelyforthepositivematerials.
Here, wepresentedasimple,low-costandmultifunctionalTENGbasedontheporousmicro-
nickel foam(PMNF)forharvestingthenaturalvibrationenergy.Withthesurfacemodification of
PMNF withthepositivepolarity,thenewlydesignedTENGproducedanopen-circuitvoltageup
to 187.8Vandashort-circuitcurrentof71.9 μΑ with thepeakpowerdensityof3.7W/m2 at
the resonancefrequencyof13.9Hzbyharvestingvibrationenergy.ThisTENGcould
simultaneously andcontinuouslylightup100commerciallight-emittingdiodebulbs.Addition-
ally,bythefootfallsforceofabout500N,thecorrespondingopen-circuitvoltageandshort-
circuit currentwereashighas403Vand336 μA, respectively.ThenewlydesignedTENGcanbe
used fortheself-powdered floor byfootfallsandalsoforpoweringsomewirelesselectronicsby
harvesting thevibrationenergyfromhighways,railways,andtunnelsinremotemountainareas.
